RATCH-Australia Corporation Pty Ltd (RAC) is an independent power producer in Australia with nearly 1GW portfolio of Australian power generation assets in operation or under construction, and a strong pipeline of self-developed projects. Our projects consist of ownership or an interest in gas power stations and wind farms around Australia. Our assets are owned on a long term basis.

RAC is 100% owned by Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL (RATCH). RATCH is Thailand’s largest independent power producer with 14% of Thailand’s national energy generation capacity. RATCH owns a portfolio of wind, coal, gas, hydro and solar generation plants and is highly experienced in all aspects of power station financing, development and operation. RATCH is listed on the Thai Stock Exchange and is 45% owned by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (a state-owned enterprise of the Thai Government). RATCH has a market capitalisation of ~US$2.3 billion and is rated investment grade (BBB+ / Baa1) by Standard and Poor and Moody.”

RATCH-Australia’s operating wind farm assets include:

- Toora Wind Farm, VIC – 21 MW
- Windy Hill Wind Farm, QLD – 12 MW
- Starfish Wind Farm, SA -  34.5 MW

Wind Farms under development:

- Collector Wind Farm, NSW (approved) 228MW

- On the 26th May 2016, Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, announced in parliament that ERGON Energy has offered to purchase the ful output of the Mount Emerald wind farm under a power purchase agreement.

The agreement was signed by executives of ERGON Energy and Mount Emerald on the 27th May 2016.

This agreement includes the purchase of all of the electricity and green energy certificates produced by the wind farm through to the end of 2030. This is a major milestone for the project as the power purchase agreement provides the revenue stream which underpins the financial case for the project.

This site will be updated as the approval process continues.

RATCH-Australia also owns and manages Open Cycle Gas Turbines (OCGT) and Combined Cycle Gas Turbines (CCGT) power stations with its investments in:

- Kemerton WA – 300 MW,

Collinsville Power Station used to be coal fired and is now decommissioned under care and maintenance. RATCH-Australia is looking at options of Solar PV and Solar Thermal.
